ACA Eligibility

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace provides healthcare coverage options for individuals and families who do not have access to affordable insurance through an employer, Medicare, or Medicaid.

To qualify, you must:

  • Live in the United States.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or national, or lawfully present non-citizen.
  • Not currently incarcerated.

Eligibility is generally based on income, with subsidies available to help lower the cost of premiums and out-of-pocket expenses for those earning between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level.
